Two weeks after closing the DirecTV deal, AT&T is launching its first nationwide TV-and-wireless bundle.

Beginning Aug. 10, new DirecTV and U-verse customers can sign up for HD and DVR service for up to four TV receivers, unlimited talk and text for four wireless lines, and 10GB of shareable wireless data, starting at $200 per month.

Customers can sign up for DirecTV nationwide or U-verse in 21 states. Package options include:

  • DirecTV Select or U-verse U-Family, $50 per month
  • DirecTV Xtra or U-verse U-200, $70
  • DirecTV Ultimate or U-verse U-300, $75
  • DirecTV Premiere or U-verse U-450, $125

AT&T's wireless service—with 10GB of shareable data and unlimited talk and text for four phone lines—will then be another $160 per month.

So you could conceivably pay $200 per month if you got the $160 wireless package, the $50 TV plan, and the $10 per month discount AT&T is offering to those who keep these services on the same bill.

If you need high-speed Internet, meanwhile, AT&T has several "All-Included" plans, available with 12-month promotional pricing: $30/month for speeds up to 6Mbps, $40 for speeds up to 24Mbps, $50 for speeds up to 45Mbps and 75Mbps.

As soon as the contract is signed, you can catch up with favorite programs on your mobile device—even before the home TV service is installed.

"Today is the first of many planned moves to enable our customers to enjoy a premium entertainment experience almost anywhere," Brad Bentley, chief marketing officer of AT&T Entertainment and Internet Services, said in a statement.

"We're going to deliver more TV and entertainment choices to more screens—when and where our customers want it," he continued. "And we'll offer incredible value with more flexibility and convenience through our integrated packages that deliver a great experience."

If you've been thinking about making the move from another wireless provider to AT&T, the company promised a $300 bill credit with the purchase of a new smartphone on AT&T Next.
