Is bigger better? That's up to you to decide. But if you have an Apple iPhone 6s Plus or an iPhone 6 Plus, one thing is certain: Bigger screens mean even more delicate glass to take care of. One drop and that 5.5-inch Retina display can turn into a spider web of shattered glass. Fear not, however, as nearly every case maker under the sun wants to help protect your phone.

There is almost no physical difference between the iPhone 6 Plus and the iPhone 6s Plus. The 6s Plus is ever-so-slightly-thicker, to the tune of a hundredth of an inch. The 6s Plus also weighs more (6.77 ounces compared with the 6.07-ounce iPhone 6 Plus), but that doesn't mean much when it comes to choosing a case. In general, any case that fits the iPhone 6 Plus should also fit the iPhone 6s Plus just fine. The iPhone 7 Plus will technically fit as well, though the cutouts won't line up, so live a little and get a dedicated 7 Plus case. And be sure to check the case manufacturer's website for phone compatibility.

The type of case you're looking for will largely depend on your needs and lifestyle. Most cases protect against bumps, drops, and everyday wear and tear, but if you're an athlete or otherwise adventure-prone, you'll probably want something sturdier that also protects against wind and rain. Many cases add a dash of style to Apple's trendsetting device, but if you like the look of it just how it is, translucent options (and simple bumpers) abound. If the phone already takes up enough room in your pocket, there are wallet cases that can hold your cards and cash as well, freeing up some space. And if you find yourself running out of power during the day, there are battery cases that will keep you fully charged.
