Skype Qik (for iPhone)

To get started with the app, you need to give Skype Qik your mobile phone number, something that plain old Skype doesn't require.

You can record a video first and choose recipients afterward.

If you choose your recipient first, your video will be sent as soon as you tap the Stop Recording button.

Qik Fliks are short videos that you use like smilies. You can prerecord up to a dozen, and they're always at your disposal for quick responses.

When you have a few video message conversations under your belt, you see bars like this representing them. You can swipe to hide them.

The important thing here is that you can delete any of your videos using the garbage can icon, and the video message will be immediately removed from all conversants' phones.

You can leave a group chat at any time.
