Pros & Cons

Usually ahead of the curve, Apple has belatedly released a multibutton mouse. The optical Apple Mighty Mouse can be customized for different users and has two invisible touch-sensitive buttons on top, force-sensing buttons on the sides, and a teensy ball for omnidirectional scrolling. But we found that the capsule shape isn't all that comfortable, it doesn't fit large hands, the scroll ball is awkward to use, and the 30-inch cord can't reach under-desk computers. The customization software runs only on Mac OS 10.4.2 and won't let you set buttons to keyboard commands.
